Youth Participation Agreement

Purpose

This Youth Participation Agreement outlines expectations for young people who take part in 360West Workforce programs, events, and career‑connected learning experiences. Our goal is to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments where every participant can learn, explore, and grow.

By participating in any 360West Workforce activity, students agree to the guidelines below.

1. Respect for Self and Others

Participants agree to:

  • Treat peers, adults, and community members with respect

  • Use positive and inclusive language

  • Listen actively and allow others to contribute

  • Honor diverse backgrounds, identities, and perspectives

Everyone deserves to feel welcome and valued.

2. Commitment to Safety

Participants agree to:

  • Follow all safety instructions from staff, educators, and partners

  • Use equipment, tools, and materials responsibly

  • Stay in designated areas during activities

  • Report unsafe situations or concerns to an adult

Safety is a shared responsibility.

3. Professional Conduct

Because many activities take place in workplaces or professional settings, participants agree to:

  • Arrive on time and be prepared

  • Dress appropriately for the activity or environment

  • Use technology responsibly and only when permitted

  • Communicate respectfully with adults and peers

  • Represent themselves, their school, and their community with integrity

These experiences help build real‑world skills.

4. Engagement and Participation

Participants agree to:

  • Be present and engaged during activities

  • Ask questions and seek help when needed

  • Try new things and approach challenges with a growth mindset

  • Complete assigned tasks to the best of their ability

Career‑connected learning works best when students participate fully.

5. Digital Responsibility

When participating in virtual or online activities, students agree to:

  • Use approved platforms and follow school or program guidelines

  • Keep cameras and microphones on/off as instructed

  • Protect their personal information

  • Avoid recording, sharing, or posting content without permission

Online spaces must be safe and respectful.

6. Attendance and Communication

Participants agree to:

  • Attend scheduled activities or notify an adult if they cannot

  • Communicate absences or changes in plans as early as possible

  • Follow school or program procedures for transportation and supervision

Reliable participation helps ensure meaningful experiences.

7. Prohibited Behaviors

To maintain a safe and positive environment, the following are not allowed:

  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination

  • Possession or use of drugs, alcohol, or weapons

  • Inappropriate physical contact

  • Disruptive or unsafe behavior

  • Sharing confidential or sensitive information

Violations may result in removal from activities.

8. Privacy and Consent

Participants understand that:

  • Photos, audio recordings, or videos may be taken during activities

  • Consent will be requested before using likeness for program materials

  • Personal information will be handled according to our Privacy Policy

Students may opt out of media use at any time.

9. Support and Accommodations

360West Workforce is committed to supporting all young people. Participants are encouraged to:

  • Request accommodations or support when needed

  • Share concerns with a trusted adult

  • Ask questions about expectations or activities

We want every student to feel safe, supported, and successful.

10. Agreement

By participating in 360West Workforce programs, students acknowledge that they understand and agree to follow this Youth Participation Agreement. Families and guardians are encouraged to review these expectations with their student.
